The Baja Bush Pilots have the necessary licenses and Mexican Insurers to provide the required Mexican Libaility insurance to our members.  It has now been a full year since our old underwriter stopped writing foreign liability insurance. There were both good and not so good changes.

1)   The good is that the policy can be ordered and delivered via e-mail.  All policies are processed and emailed with a one day turnaround. 

2)   The second is that the underwriter has opened up the pilot requirements.  You no longer have to designate the pilot that will be piloting the aircraft.  Any licensed pilot that is certified for the licensed aircraft can fly it.

3)  The third change is that the policy price has been increased.  You now will pay US$250.                                               

 4)  The fourth change is that now you will receive two copies of the policy, one in English and one in Spanish.

5)  And now, we will be able to write commercial aircraft in addition to business and private aircraft. Helicopters are now the same price as fixed wing aircraft

Note, form is changed.  You now fill out the form on line, (including the check boxes) print, and then fax to the BBP office. 
We now have the ability to return completed policies via e-mail, fax, or mail.  We are still working on the ability for Members to apply via e-mail.

If your policy is processed and you need to make any adjustments or corrections to the policy once it has been completed, there will be a $25.00 charge to correct it.

Certificate is not transferable to other insured or aircraft and premium is fully earned upon issuance of Certificate of Insurance.

Please note, your invoice recept that comes with your policy will list the price of your insurance policy as US$250.  This is the price already reflecting the $40 dollar savings. 

The BBP Liability Insurance for your aircraft provides you with US$270,000 combined single limit civil liability.
